Description
Hikari no Ou takes place within the aftermath of humanity’s final war. The entire world is surrounded by an unnatural black forest. People are infected by an infection that causes them to explode into flames in the presence of fire from nature. The only secure source of fire is found through hunting black beasts Flame Spirits, which reside deep within the forest. In the ranks of fire hunters, reports of “The King of Fire Hunters” have been circulating recently about a person who is able to take advantage of the artificial star, the millennium comet, which once roamed in the dark. The tale revolves around Touko who was raised in a rural setting as well as Koushi who was a former student in the capital city. The chance encounter between the two whom they were never meant to meet, could alter the course of the world.
